Please come to our next meeting, Wed, Feb. 10th, for friendship and socializing! Our guest speaker is Danielle Beaudette of The Cozy Teacart - who will be demonstrating 'Tea and Chocolate' ...rumor is that there will be delectable samples! Our charity will be Hollis Helps Haiti - a grass roots effort to provide relief to the victims of the recent devastating events in Haiti. Lightweight used clothing for women, men, children and infants is of significant need. We will also collect clean undergarments, shoes, sheets, light blankets and tents. If you are able, please sort and label garbage bags to ease the distribution when these items arrive in Haiti. Also needed are: Bulk rice and dried beans with long expiration dates. Medical items such as band-aids, sterile bandages, ointment, ace-wraps, alcohol pads and latex gloves. Personal hygiene items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste and feminine products such as tampons and maxi pads. We have several big events coming up: Our annual Yard Sale is Saturday, April 17th at the Lawrence Barn. Please start setting aside some treasures to donate for resale. If you'd like your own table, contact susan.benz@gmail.com to reserve a spot ($20 if you have your own table, and $25 if we supply). Also, we need some volunteers to help set up Friday and to bake and sell goodies on Saturday am (and cleanup). Contact Jeanne Cleveland to get on the Yard Sale Committee (465-2097).
